As we sail along the western shoreline, you’ll admire the beauty and serenity of the monastic republic. A total of eight monasteries can be seen from the boat, each one an architectural marvel built into the rocky cliffs and forested hillsides. Our guide will share fascinating insights into the history, culture, and spiritual importance of this holy site.
Next, we pass by two smaller monastic communities, or sketes, offering a glimpse into the more secluded and humble side of monastic life. These sketes are rarely seen by the public and add a special touch to the cruise.
On our return journey, relax on deck and take in the fresh sea breeze. This part of the cruise is perfect for photography or simply enjoying the peaceful seascape. With a bit of luck, playful dolphins might join us as we sail back toward Ormos Panagias.
